China Tune

Music for Four-Hand Piano (Duet)

Original music composed by Baw in the summer months of 1995, revised in 1996. China Tune takes a simple Sonata form. Its themes are classical Chinese and penta-tonic in nature. It received its first formal performance in Wooster, Ohio, USA in December 1995 at the College of Wooster's Scheide Music Center with Baw at Piano I and Christina Bennett at Piano II. The following short MP3 clip was recorded with Philip Feng at Piano I and Baw at Piano II; and we thank Timothy Peng and Estella Tai for providing a nice piano and a good studio in which to make the recording.

Recording is available here.

Sheet music (manuscript) is available here.
